I feel very lucky to have not one, but two awesome dogs. And even luckier to have a spouse who shares my love for these two furry gremlins. We laugh at their funny quirks, coo at their sleepy faces, and sing little jingles about them throughout the day. We have always made them a prominent part of our lives and our home.
So when we bought our first house last summer, we knew we wanted to keep their living space special for them without overpowering our new house. We agreed upon special boundaries on ’what’s ours is ours, what’s yours is yours’ with the dogs. We set up separate dog sleeping areas on each floor of the house.

The dogs are fed twice a day in the kitchen. They can get a little messy, so there is a doggie feeding mat under their water and food bowls. Dog mats/rugs are a great way to brighten up any room and teach the dogs some boundaries.

After the dogs have had enough of a window view, they are ready for their daily walks. We keep their leashes and harnesses in our front closet.

Along with the organization of leashes, there is also a toy bowl filled with rawhides, balls, rope bones and kongs.

And if ever you visited our home, you would of course notice the doggie decor.

This blog was great inspired by a blog in Chicago called Two Pitties in the City. They have an amazing section called Dog Decor.
